Biography

Jen McClure is a renowned expert in new media and communications. Her career spans more than 20 years, and includes experience in all facets of professional communications, including journalism, market and media research, media relations, public relations, strategic communications, print and online publishing and broadcast media.

She is the founder, executive director and president of the Society for New Communications Research, a global nonprofit 501(c)(3) think tank dedicated to the advanced study of the latest developments in new media and communications, and their effect on traditional media and business models, communications, culture and society.

She has worked as a PR and marketing professional, a newspaper reporter and radio show host, an art gallery director, a public official in Woodstock, NY, and has sung both professionally and drunkenly.

Ms. McClure was the recipient of the 1993 and 1994 Eclat Award for Marketing Excellence. She earned her masters degree at Stanford University, holds a graduate certificate in History, Politics and Society from Oxford University, studied Nonprofit Management at CalState East Bay, and is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College.

She is based in the Silicon Valley, where she lives with her wonderful husband and son.
